Information in the Guide is arranged around five driving tours—Shores of Plenty, From Main to the Mountains, In the Center of it All, As Far as the Eye Can See, and Sailing Through History. The tours are outlined on the maps located throughout the guide. Each tour follows state highways and back roads, which meander through distinct landscapes, towns and villages. The introduction to each tour sets the scene for your exploration. The listings include a variety of cultural and heritage-related sites and businesses. They're identified on a map by numbers which correspond to descriptive listings within that tour section and are sequentially numbered from the start of each tour. Icons are used to indicate the type of site.
