Brookfield Farm has been in our family since 1956. This end of the road location offers great privacy and is situated on 26 acres bordered by the Green Mountain National Forest. It is bisected by Downingsville brook, which passes just outside the back of the home. Our 20-acre meadow separates home from main dirt road. We have a large lawn with many apple trees and footbridge across the brook to a wooded glen area. Large brook fed paved swimming pond is great place to cool off when warm. Home consists of 2000 sq. ft. carpeted one level home with 3 bedrooms, 3/4 bath, laundry, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, 20 X 20 Great Room with gas fire log stove, if warm up is needed. Dining area and master bedroom both overlook brook and woods out back. 4 large skylights provide lots of natural light inside and large screened porch with seating and dining area provide cool pleasant retreat with a view to west. Mountain spring provides pure water to the home. Forest Service roads allow lots of hiking opportunity. Nearby Bristol has a Post Office and supermarket, with nice shops and restaurants in the area.
